Scouts and Guides who want to camp in the Netherlands can find what they need at more than 20 Scouting label campsites. These sites are managed by members of Scouting. There you can camp in the Scouting way.
The label sites offer something for everyone: camping with a big group or with just a few Scout friends, primitive or with a bit more luxury, far away from the city or close to it.
The label is a quality mark for the associated sites that, by carrying it, want to indicate that they all follow the same guidelines and that they support Scout camping.
Camping
A Label Site is available for all Scouts, National or International, to be used for camping. And we mean REAL camping! You can camp either with the entire group or in smaller numbers. Some sites even have special accommodations, which come in handy when you go camping with your youngest members.
Likeminded Scouts
Label Sites are generally larger sites, used by several groups simultaneously. The sites are large enough for privacy, but intimate enough to meet likeminded Scouts. Feel free to arrange to meet each other at campfires, invite each other to joined activities or exchange hiking routes!
Activities
Naturally the Scout facilities are up to standards! Most Label Sites allow for campfires or offer special fire pits. Accessible nature is never more than a stone throw away. Materials, such as constructive wood, are available at most sites. Off course: (do you mean off course or of course?) plenty of space for play and sports is available at all sites. Some sites even have their own ScoutShop with limited supply. Camp staff is present to offer tips on excursions, hike & bike routes or treasure hunts. Even Bush maintenance is possible at some sites.
Possibilities for groups other than Scouting
Most sites are ideal for camping, not just for Scouts but for other groups, such as schools and educational groups. A number of sites allow for camping without Scouting connections. Please check the overview or websites of the Label Sites for more information.
